Topic: Feature Requests / Tasks on Previously Saved Notes You can add tasks to any note at any time. Click the link that says “Note by <person>” at the top of the note to go to that note’s page. Then click the “Add a task” button in the sidebar. |

Topic: Highrise API / author-id for notes missing? That’s definitely a bug. I’ve committed a fix for it which will go live the next time we deploy Highrise. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Some Needed Additions Aarvo, that’s not true. If you click through to a note or email’s page, the “Add a task” button on that page will create a task about that note or email. Here’s an example. I want to add a task for this note about Matthew Katz. I’ll click through to the note’s page from the Dashboard:
On the note’s page I’ll click the “Add a task” button:
Then I’ll enter a task and click “Add this task.”
The task will show up in the sidebar of that note’s page, and in the sidebar of Matthew Katz’s page, too. I’ll also see a link to the note on the task in the Tasks tab:

Topic: Feature Requests / Some Needed Additions Thanks for your suggestions. Regarding #4, you can add tasks about notes at any time. Just go to the note’s page and click the “Add a task” button in the sidebar. The “followup task” link is simply a shortcut for making a task about a note that you just created. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Empty task title freezes Safari Hi Peter- Whoops, you found a bug in the followup task form! I’ve just deployed a fix for it. A “followup task” is simply a shortcut for making a single task about a note you just created. You can add tasks about notes at any time by going to the note’s page, then clicking “Add a task” in the sidebar. |

Topic: Highrise API / iCal sync not working ... Sorry you’re having trouble. Can you be more specific? What error message are you seeing, if any? What do you mean by “won’t sync”? You might want to email support@highrisehq.com – it’s usually pretty difficult to troubleshoot issues like these on the forum. |

Topic: Feature Requests / View all Users Tasks Tasks can be either private or public. By default, only you can see your tasks, but you can make a task public by selecting the checkbox when creating/editing a task that says “Let everyone see this task.” Checking this box makes the task visible to everyone in your Highrise account. You can read more about it here: |

Topic: Feature Requests / More granular task visibility For the record, when you make a task about a person, company, note, or email, visible to “everybody” means everybody who has access to see that person, company, note, or email. So if you make a public task about Jane Doe, only the people who can see Jane Doe will see that task. |

Topic: How are you using Highrise? / Seeing others’ tasks rmathes, the “Let everyone see this task” checkbox is “sticky” — if the last task you created was public, the checkbox will be checked the next time you add a new task. So you only have to create one public task to change the default. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Multiple Birthday Tasks Hey everyone- We deployed a fix earlier today for another bug that popped up over the weekend. I’ve cleaned up redundant tasks in all the accounts who sent support emails, so everything should be back to normal now. If I missed yours, or if you’re still having problems, please send a note to support at 37signals.com with your Highrise URL. Thanks, and sorry for all those extra reminders! |
