Topic: How are you using Highrise? / Does High Rise Interface with Backpack? Our OpenID support has been in production for several months now, and we’re pleased with the reception it’s gotten. As far as security is concerned, the key is to select a reputable OpenID provider. We don’t recommend any particular providers at this time. All of our applications that support OpenID should indeed work with any OpenID provider. 37signals is not an OpenID provider, so you can’t sign up for one directly from us. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Are you crazy! ADD A CALENDAR!!! We appreciate all the thoughts around this issue and we definitely keep customer feedback in mind when we’re deciding what to work on next. As always, we can’t promise that we’ll implement any particular features, but we do pay attention. Danno: For the record, Backpack’s calendar has supported repeating events for several months now. |

Topic: How are you using Highrise? / Does High Rise Interface with Backpack? No, the only integration between the two is that they both appear in the open bar. Do you have ideas for what types of integration you’d like to have between the two? |

Topic: Feature Requests / Custom URL The problem with this idea is that it breaks SSL support and your users will get a very scary looking warning that the certificate that was sent back by the server does not match the domain name. Unforunately, HTTP redirects are still the best solution for this problem. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / A few minutes of possible downtime may be required for optimizations We’re currently monitoring some performance problems with Highrise that may require us to take a short downtime during the day. We’re doing everything we can to avoid that, but we wanted to let everyone know in case it becomes necessary. If we do need to go down for emergency maintenance, the downtime should only last a few minutes. We’ll update this thread with more information as it becomes available. |

Topic: Tips & Tricks / Download HR to your computer The problem with tools like this are that they attempt to follow every link on your Highrise site, and in some cases can cause damage or loss of data since they access it using your login. Some of these tools can also cause problems for other users which may result in your access being blocked. Make sure you know exactly what applications like this are going to do before you run them. |

Topic: System Announcements / Forum Update The Basecamp and Highrise customer forums have been updated to allow a single username to be used for both forums, and to prevent you from having to login separately to each. As a part of this update, all Highrise forum accounts have been merged with the Basecamp forum user accounts. This merge required some usernames to change. If you are having trouble logging into the Highrise or Basecamp forum, please click the reset password button on the Login page. It will send your username and a link to create a new password to your registered email address. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / company vcard upload doesn't work Highrise does not support company vcards because they’re not supported in the vcard specification. Every program that exports company vcards does it differently. See http://forum.highrisehq.com/forums/3/topics/289 for more information. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Global search problem Yes, it does. From a practical standpoint, it’s not likely you’ll need search results in Campfire for a message that was sent recently, so it’s a natural fit. |
