If you are a Firefox user, you can install a extension to handle mail links. Instead of opening outlook or whatever mail program you use, they will guide you to your webmail compose page.

And if you are a gmail, yahoo or hotmail user, it’s piece of cake. Other in-house webmail like squirrelmail will give you a few more problems.

You can install firefox mailto extensions at Mozilla Add-On Site and I recomend Launchy . You can also use the Add-On menu under Tools on Firefox 3.0.

It’s pretty easy using the gmail toolbar for firefox/ie to click on any of the email links highrise and have it open either Gmail or your Google Apps Gmail such that you have an open message, addressed to the client with the bcc addressed to your highrise dropbox… Is that what you were looking for?

you can also install the Skype toolbar and use it to dial out from any HR contact as well.

Makes it nice to rock out calls and emails when going down through a list of contacts.
