I use Highrise to manage a plethora of e-mails. Often these e-mails become long conversations with many replies and, when forwarded to Highrise, the information is duplicated again and again (i.e. the original e-mail, which is already in Highrise, is added again when a reply is sent through to Highrise). Over the course of a day I will jump from one contact to another deal and then to another contact etc. I find the four tabs across the top very helpful except that there are only four. There is space for at least 10 and was hoping you could find it in your hearts to add a few more. I'll quite often look to the tabs thinking that I can just jump to that deal I was working on 10 minutes ago but in the meantime I have taken a couple of calls from other contacts and, since I record everything in HR, that deal disappears from the four most previous tabs pretty quickly. To get back to that deal can be quite few keystrokes. Not quite sure why that isnt working for you. I never create tasks from the task window, always from either the contact or the deal I am working on. Much easier to track, on click to contact info etc when I am looking at list of tasks. I just checked my tasks window to make sure all was fine and there are about 20 tasks currently and they all have, for example, "Call Lisa Smith", which is followed by a hyperlink to her contact info. As well, I have "Send quote to Foxtrot" followed by hyperlink to one of the deals I have going for Foxtrot. I created the Lisa Smith task from within the Lisa Smith contact window and the Foxtrot task from the Foxtrot deal. Not sure why you would be experiencing a problem. The only thing I can think of is that you arent clicking on "Add this task" but I cant see that being the case. Anyway, works well at this end. Good luck. It makes no sense not to be able to make notes about a task. We use Highrise to develop and improve our software and team members find that creating a task does not help because they usually end up sending emails to clarify.
