As obviously 37s don’t care about integration between Highrise & Basecamp, do you folks suggest any alternative ways of combining a CRM with Basecamp?

I am a new Highrise user and it really surprises me that it is not possible to add notes to tasks. Why would you make that annoying limitation? We really need to be able to communicate about our ongoing tasks in an easy way and furthermore it is also quite surprising that it isn’t possible to set the status of a task to anything else than “completed”.

I read a suggestion about creating notes first and then adding tasks to notes. That is of course not the solution, that would be a completely backwards way of working.

I do indeed enjoy using your system, but this is a critical issue that should be solved quickly.

I’ve just spent 10 minutes filling out a survey response only to be told at the end

“There was a problem with your submission.
Sorry, but this form is limited to one submission per user.”

I haven’t submitted a response yet!

I hope this tip helps somebody. If you use Highrise as a Fluid app (or use Firefox/Greasemonkey?), here’s a quick addition to add a poor man’s rich-text editor above most textareas as you edit Highrise entries.

Select Browse Userscripts.org from the script menu, search for flickr Rich Edit, install the recent version of the script. Modify it to include highrise URLs, and remove the exclude URL it comes with (it comes with flickr URLs you don’t want). You can rename it, too. That’s it! It’s a simple way to get this above most textarea (not those that load after the page loads): http://kevinashworth.com/temp/rt.gif

I am new subscriber (joined 2 days back). I am having the same problem. When i send email directly to a Case it creates a new contact “case+dropbox”. I don’t think it is resolved . At least not as of 3.30 pm on July 2, 2009. I can’t seem to get hold of any technical support either. I am struggling with it for the past 2 days.

+1 for this request. I mainly add Companies, rather than individual contacts. This will be extremely useful.

I use it to track my personal accounts. e.g. phone bills, bank contact details, account opening date, conversation I’ve had with customer services.

So that when they don’t admit they’ve made a mistake I can pull out the record and say what had been discussed and when.

I am a regular user of Highrise but feel for my needs (as a part-time solo freelancer) the $12 plan costs a bit too much. I would really love the ability to upload files to HR but only need a very small amount of storage.

Have you guys considered making a Lite plan for users like me? – maybe one extra deal could be a feature also?

I’m an Admin in our highrise account, yet there certain info I can’t view. I can’t view any of a particular contact’s history, yet a fellow admin can. Why is that?

How sensitive is the contact list? I have a few people coming up twice in the list of contacts with seemingly the same name, title, company and email address. The only difference I can detect is the phone numbers, one will use . and the other has – to separate the sequence.

It sounds like you could be adding the dropbox address to the “to” field. Can you confirm this?
