Feature request: Restricted users

Just another request for the pile. I work with a lot of contractors, and I’d love to give them limited use of HR to log their progress on various little tasks. Basically, I want them to only see things I’ve given them permission to via “Who can see this X?” while all my normal employees would be able to see the full set of HR data. Cheerio! |

I need something like this too. I have some new users I don’t really trust (data entry, junior staff, collaborating on cases with other companies). I want to give them access to the information they add, and anything else I explicitly grant them access to. But nothing else. |

Maybe I don’t quite understand what you mean, but coudln’t you create a group called “Untrusted/Limited-access” and “Trusted”, and and set the permissions accordingly. So people you trust are in the trusted group, and the untrusted/subcontractors are in that group. Or if you had to you could always manually set permissions with the “select people…” option in the permissions section. |
