RSS Feed Management

My company is using Basecamp for internal project communications, collaborating with partners on projects (pseudo internal), and and keeping in touch with our actual clients. The problem I am having comes with having so many projects and knowing which ones I have RSS subscriptions to or not. I don’t want to have my feeds show me every single article that is posted. Rather I only want the projects that I am actively working in to show up in my reader. However, I cannot tell, at a glance, which projects I have subscribed to. So…I manually walk through each project and each feed three times a week to ensure that I am getting everything that I need and nothing that I don’t. This time committment would be greatly reduced if there was some indication of which feeds I was subscribed to right in Basecamp. An ideal solution would be for a visual tag on the Dashboard that indicated whether or not I was subscribed to a certain project’s RSS feed. If this has challenges, then a separate page showing me all available RSS feeds and my status (subscribed or not) with each would be very useful. |
