I cant believe that being Canadian eliminates me from being an affiliate. I go to Florida evey year, I can use my credit card there. I can order product from the states.

Its just a line.

Paypal works in Canada.

We have internet and computers in our igloos.

From the help section:

At this time we can only accept affiliates based in the United States. Once we’ve squared away tax arrangements with other countries we will begin to allow non-US affiliates to sign up. Note: You can promote and sell our products to anyone in the world, but you have to have to live in the US in order to be paid affiliate commissions.

so does that mean we can sign up for affiliate accounts now? Or should we wait until the program is rolled out?

To answer my own question, no you can’t sign up unless you are living in the USA, the little check box on the sign up form says so :)

@slapper, I think the issue is with 37 signals paying the right taxes when they issue referal payments. It is a tricky beast to deal with sometimes.

I think we should get credit for it…When highrise figures out there tax issues…then pay us or even discount my monthly…...I am not going to be aggressive with selling a product without any financial payback….

This sounds rather strange and this is the more so as the same does not seem to apply to the Backpack scheme? Why is that?
