Emailing via HighRise

Avatar Ido Schacham 1 post

Hi,

I’m currently surveying HighRise to check if it suits the needs of my company. I have a question that may have been asked before, but I’m not sure how to find it.

Instead of having to forward and BCC emails to HighRise all the time, I would like to do the email correspondence with my clients via HighRise. The way I see it is that there would be a “Reply” option for emails that are in HighRise in which case HighRise will send the email to the relevant contact and save it also for future reference.

Does such a feature exist? If not, is it planned anytime soon? Or is there a workaround? Setting up a rule in my email client to forward mails to the dropbox wouldn’t work since I also get personal emails to my work email.

Thanks in advance,

Ido

@Ido

You’re saying you actually want to contact your contacts in Highrise? Now that’s just plain foolish talk.

The only problem I would see is that when you send the email through HighRise it wouldn’t have your from address. It would be something like: youraccount@highrisehq.com with a reply-to: your-address. It COULD work, but I’m really not sure if it would be preferrable. It might be cool though

They could put your return address; you would have to forward all the replies from that address back into Highrise.

Cheers

But it might not get through spam filters without a valid SPF record right? I could be wrong though.

Big Contacts looks ugly. Not sure how it functions but I probably would never use it.
