Using Highrise as a repository of contacts, leads, conversations and tasks for Freelance Web Design

I started using Highrise the same day I started freelancing alongside my full-time job. I am commuting into the city at the moment to client sites, and working at various different offices so a mobile solution was a must – combining Highrise with a web based email interface was a pretty good fit for me, and allows me to file emails away, generate follow-up tasks, and generally keep on top of opportunities. The case functionality is great for capturing conversations about projects – I only wish it had some kind of integration with Basecamp (case X = project Y). Being able to close cases is good for leads that never went anywhere, but might do so in the future. Highrise has quickly become an important repository for me. I do worry about security though, and have refrained from creating cases for dealings with the bank, or anything like that. |
