Exporting CSV files
|

Firstly I have more than 100 contacts and I never get the email; my mail account is working fine. I do get the vCard export so I just run the CSV after that and amend the URL accordingly to get to the CSV export. When I finally get to the CSV export its a complete mess and defeats the whole object of the export feature. Why would I want to spend hours essentially re-entering the data again manually? I find this all extremely frustrating as Highrise is such a good system. However, having worked with software developers for many years I’m not surprised that issues like this exist. Many developers have never sat and used their own software for 8 hours day after day after day. What seems like minor or unimportant issues to them can often be causing major headaches for users who want the system to save time and money. I’m sure the fundamentals of the Highrise engine are brilliant but silly details like this can demotivate users. |

Highrise Inquirer can theoretically export everything except dates to XML. The API seems to be broken as it returns code 403 error codes for the last month or so (http://forum.37signals.com/highrise/forums/15/topics/6687) |
