Entering multiple contacts for one company

I may be missing something really basic. But I often will have multiple contacts for the same company. Is there any way to enter one and then duplicate it so that all of the address/phone number info is duplicated into a new entry? Then I can just change the name and email fields and be good to go. Thanks for any help.

bingo, my problem I was searching for an answer to. Glad I’m not the only one looking for this.

Just enter the address phone in the company, and only your contanct specific info in the contact. When you view that contact, you will see all the information of the associated company.

Thank you. I tried with no luck. Started from a “Company” page, where I already have several contacts with complete address info. Selected “Add a person”, put in his name, title, and unique phone numbers, then saved. Then I viewed his contact details. The address, country part is blank. Did I miss a step? Thanks for your help.

I see this has not been answered since May.

I have the answer.

You add the company (or go to the company’s page if already added).

Then on the right side under “Add Task” button there are some links. Look for the last one that says “Add a person to ( company name )” and you are set.

Hope it helps.

I am having similar problems. How can I add multiple contacts without having to add the contact details for each address. Is there a way of duplicating a person then changing the name??

I have been in touch with the official support and they have confirmed that each address has to be inputted individually even if the contacts are all at the same address. Support has told me that there ‘no plans to change this’.

I’m finding this a bit of an annoyance as well – I send out mass mailings, so I have to put every address in – really frustrating when there are many people in one company that need to be on the list. I’m going to e-mail support about this issue too.

The Person has the Company contact information visible on-screen, and applications can use the API to get the Person’s Company’s address if the Person’s address is blank.

In other words, you don’t want to duplicate the address over and over; you want to refer to the Company’s address.

Cheers
