Topic: basecamp offline lastnight? I did send an email about the downtime and requesting the credit, and only received a response about the downtime, not the credit. I asked again without a response. Shall I assume it’s been applied to my account? |

Topic: basecamp offline lastnight? They might have handled it fine, but for the premium price we’re paying for this service, we should at least be offered a credit. It was still work time here on the Pacific coast. |

Topic: basecamp offline lastnight? I think 37 Signals handled this just fine. This is a great example of the System Notifications on the Dashboard. I also appreciate that 37 Signals will use this as a learning experience to see how to better cope with this in the future. Following last nights event on Twitter, I could see how frantic everyone was trying to recover. Thanks guys. |

Speaking as a big fan of 37Signals, I respectfully suggest that you try looking in the typical places [your dashboard, the product blog – both of which discuss what took place in more than reasonable detail] before you start slinging baseless accusations. I for one, applaud 37Signals for their response to this event and their explanation of what took place. I have little doubt that they are even as we speak, in the process of establishing a mirrored solution in a separate data center to prevent a recurrence of this type of event in the future. |
