Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / No adverts on paid accounts So how about the announcements? Are those only seen by those in our company? |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / HELP! - I (and my clients) just lost access to all but one of my projects! +1
I am a huge advocate and have people paying real money for services built on 37s – Its not acceptable to release something with such a straight forward bug as affecting:

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / HELP! - I (and my clients) just lost access to all but one of my projects! Ive tried clearing cache – restarting, etc. Still get ‘page doesnt exist’ when I click on projects (in the right nav) These are links that I use all the time with no issues. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / profile won't accept OpenID FYI that for our clients highrise is handling openID but not basecamp. They use it to switch bw the two though, and it seems it is even whacking their regular user/pass right now. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / No adverts on paid accounts How about the ‘announcements’ that are served at the top of the dashboard announcing things like “third party plugins for basecamp”? Are these only seen by the account owner? |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Email Replies include bit of previous email (does hard return help?) Sometimes a few hard returns works, other times it does not. Can BC comment as to ways to address this? We see email gobbly gook in our client’s email replies all the time. Since the reply is above the “line” why is it picking up headers? |

Topic: Feature Requests / Manager (admin) Access I think our biggest challenge on admin access is that in order for a user to be an admin, they must be in you (the account owner’s) company. As a result, if we want a user to be able to do the things above (I would add “Edit Categories” to that list) then they have to be in your company and you have to hack around it by using their title etc and it begins to screw with how you organize projects (by company). |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Email Reply to Post Rejected by Mail Server: "User unknown in virtual alias table" Is this a BC error or something on my (or my client’s) end? |

Topic: Feature Requests / Standardize Email Notification Behavior
I’m not sure I would like to see a copy of all my comments in my inbox. The way it works now seems right. This would increase my volume of email (which I handle more and more via mobile device and multiple machines) |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Email Reply to Post Rejected by Mail Server: "User unknown in virtual alias table" Today for the first time, a customer’s mail server bounced an email reply to a message thread post, with the following message:
(Note: the addresses of the innocent have been changed to protect their identity :)) |

Topic: Miscellaneous / BC email origination address is what? I was curious about this alias/mail list approach. Clients ask us about sending the milestone reminder to more than one email address – and I figured maybe ‘create an alias and assign the milestone to that user’ but I was also concerned about creating an alias of customers that would get spammed for instance. Computer stuff is also ‘not my strong suit’ ;) |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Bounced back email replies So the FROM and REPLY TO fix is in. But I am now getting emails bounced back to me telling me that I cant post to that message even though I am subscribed to it and received the comment emails (obviously since I am replying to them). |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / New Basecamp emails - correct behavior?
agree. i think the project name should be in the brackets, rather than the current “Your Basecamp site name” |

Topic: Feature Requests / Lastest Project Updates Footer in Comment email I find this new product feature to be quite cluttering and confusing for our company and our clients. Even the screen shot 37signals uses in the product blog announcing this feature is confusing. A list of items like this: Friday, April 4 [COMMENT] Re: New Novick Walker SN08003 POSTED BY Cal L. ..does not help me, in particular it doesn’t help me on my mobile device. This new feature is confusing my clients and my employees. This along with the FROM line being the project name, rather than that of the person who posted the comment, make these particular items in the new release dangerously close to ruining the most effective part of Basecamp: email notifications. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Names in email notification +1 – I think the message should come from whoever posted it, not the project name. Many of our projects are named the same thing, but for different clients – so I am seeing an email inbox with a bunch of ‘Senders’ that have the same name, all for different projects. This is particularly problematic on mobiles – which is where the majority of employees and increasingly, our clients, are monitoring basecamp. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Change in File Directory Structure I am getting errors trying to access files from old projects. The directory structure used to be like: When I unarchive an old project, and try to access the files, I get “not found on this server”. This for us means the loss of hundreds of critical files. Is there something we are missing here (besides our files)? |

Topic: Feature Requests / Indicate linked milestone on message thread Would it help to indicate (and link to) an associated milestone if a message has one? You could for instance place a clock icon in the footer on the message list or something? |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Possible Leopard bug Ah sorry – I think i get it. They did fix it (with a patch) but it wont be fixed otherwise until early December when they release 2.0.0.10 :( One way to get around this for the time being is to click into the dropdown and then begin typing the name of the assignee you want. The browser will typically bring up any item in the list that matches what you type…then you can select that user by clicking ‘add this item’. Note that before you click ‘add this item’, you need to ‘tab’ after the name you want comes up in the list. |
