Thanks very much for the speedy reply – I appreciate it. However that is not what we are seeing from here.

We purchased a new basecamp installation yesterday. To test the above, I:

1) Added a new client user account to that basecamp install
2) Logged in to new client account from a completely fresh machine (never used basecamp) to make sure we weren’t having some weird caching issue
3) Saw that branding with logo is clearly visible (to client account) in the footer of the dashboard.

It also appears there’s no way to turn this off when you purchase a new account. I assume this is because of the 30-day trial period, since the account is technically free for the first month, the advert is carried?

This is a shame and it will cost you a new customer that I signed up today. They want to begin using Basecamp immediately with their clients, and the presence of the 37s branding with no option for deactivating is a deal-breaker from their perspective. They’d be willing to convert to paid effective immediately, but I don’t see that as an option offered anywhere either.

For me its just annoying… we know its Basecamp! The links which were there previously were subtle but apparent for anyone who wanted them, but the logo is distracting … and that’s before the printing issues as flagged above!

The ’’Managed with Basecamp’ graphic in footer is annoying me.

You don’t show it to clients – great.

But why show it to internal users? We already know that we’re using Basecamp!!! What use is a referral link??!

To be told that it can’t be turned off is kinda frustrating, seeing as you’ve just added it in.

I have noticed at customer sites using IE6 that the notice to upgrade uses BASECAMP all over it.

This is an essential feature. Without it, how can we track growth or client numbers in any meaningful way. Counting by hand on the screen is ridiculous. I really think this feature needs to be added to upgrades.

Highrise Inquirer gives counts for its searches on any combination of criteria. It does download the entire database (several times, actually <s>) when it initializes, so it is not a quick reference tool.

Yes definitely – I had a greasemonkey script that did this for me, but unfortunately it got wiped out when my mac went back to apple for a hard drive fix.

If I can find the time to code up that script again I’ll post it here.

I’ve also run across this problem and the lack of this features makes it difficult for me to know where my tags stand without doing a hand count.

There are a few threads going about formatting of email replies, but all seem to refer to things like hard returns, HTML vs Textile text formatting like bold and italics, and to links being cut off.

My issue is with the bit of the previous email that is included in replies. I am sure that this varies depending on your email client, etc, but I wonder if others have found that including a few (seems like you need as many as 4) hard returns after your reply cleans up this issue.

We use tags extensively to track segments of our contacts database, and we’ve noticed a pretty big flaw in how Highrise displays lists. The count of contacts given at the bottom is always our total number of contacts, rather than the number of people/organizations in the segment we’re filtering to. Can you give counts of people/organizations with a given tag, preferably on that list?

It would be great if there was some kind of Manager type that could do the following:
1. Create new projects
2. Change user access on project they create
3. Add new external companies and external users for projects they created
