Topic: Feature Requests / Marking Message Threads

Hi guys

This may be one of those things that means something to me and nothing to the rest of the world (I did read Matt’s post!), but might it be possible to somehow mark a message thread as closed? We use BC as a conduit for technical support between us and our clients, and it would be a fine thing to look at a message header and know that issue had been resolved.

Topic: How are you using Basecamp? / Sharing video clips on Basecamp possible?

Yep… We do it frequently with programming video clips to explain code/function changes to each other more easily than trying to write it all up.

Topic: Feature Requests / "Out of Projects" message

I recently ran up against my max number of projects, which resulted in the yellow alert box containing the upgrade message. I’m surprised to see almost a week later that I’m still looking at it on my Dashboard every day! Right at the moment I don’t need any more projects – when I do, I’ll be smart enough to read whatever message pops when I try to add a new one without upgrading. I’m almost ready to archive an older project just so I don’t have to look at that jarring box. I’m surprised an outfit with such an eye for detail and interface would have that thing sitting there annoying clients days after they’ve read it.

C’mon guys, help a brother out here!

Topic: Feature Requests / Global announcements (again?)

I think this has been done a few times, but it would be SO helpful… I just got done copying and pasting the same global announce into all my projects, which we do when one of us is going to be out of the country or otherwise unavailable to clients, etc… it would be great to write it once and enable it everyplace.

Could we get the year along with the month in the All Messages list? As time goes by it’s getting tougher to keep track of.

Also, looking at an old message now I see that even the header line doesn’t contain the year. To me at least, when looking for what was said when, this is a big deal.

Sorry if this is redundant, but I haven’t seen it referenced:

How about global Announcements, that display on all Project main pages? Sometimes we need to put up a general advisory to everyone, and it’s a chore to post it to several project sites and then bring it down.
