Topic: Feature Requests / Writeboards sorted by date Is there any way that writeboards can be sorted by date? This would be really helpful, instead of scanning long lists of writeboards for ones that have been recently changed. That “last updated” text is quite small! |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Losing Line Breaks Everywhere I’ve found that pressing Shift-Enter seems to work for me. I get this problem a bunch too. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Switching Projects - New Person Tab I’m getting an issue where if I create a new person in a company, but before saving, I browse to a different project using the project switcher, I get a page not found error. I think it’s a result of trying to access the new person tab of that project. Perhaps it can just default to the project overview, in that case? |

Topic: System Announcements / NEW FEATURE: Image-grid view It’s because the current thumbnails are 100×100 pixels. From now on, new thumbnails of files uploaded will be 200×200 pixels. |

Topic: How are you using Basecamp? / Firefox Prism I think that’s talking about a different thing. This program doesn’t allow for offline web apps necessarily, but provides an opportunity for a web application to function as a desktop application. So we’re using Basecamp as a desktop app, which allows for direct connection between the application and the internet without all the bottleneck of a browser. |

Topic: How are you using Basecamp? / Who needs to have basecamp? No, but you’ll need to give them a login for yours. Go to the All People tab and add a new person under a company – it should send off an automatic email with login instructions. |

Topic: How are you using Basecamp? / Firefox Prism We’ve just started using Basecamp with Mozilla Firefox Prism, a new piece of software that allows you to run web apps as a desktop app. It’s in beta now and only on Firefox for Windows, but it looks very promising! If you’re interested, here’s the link to it: http://labs.mozilla.com/2007/10/prism/ It will be interesting how this changes things in the future of web application design. |

Topic: Tips & Tricks / Newbie - How do I manage permissions? It should show up after clicking on the Permissions tab. It will give a list of people in your company and other companies with radio buttons that allow you to control the permissions for each user. |

Topic: Tips & Tricks / Multiple owners for a task? There is no official way to do it, but you could put the person or people responsible in the todo item description itself. As well, you could create separate companies for different groups in your organization, and then assign the appropriate company to the todo item. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Small Text Wrap Issue Just a small thing: On the templates page, I’m getting the “Reorder Lists” link wrapping on 2 lines, so it doesn’t fit in the light blue header. The text size is 100%, so it isn’t that. I’m on Firefox 2.0.0.4. |

Topic: System Announcements / NEW FEATURE: "List view" for messages Great idea! It will help us keep better track of who posted comments. I love the fact that you can choose the view by user. Looks like a great addition to Basecamp. |

Topic: System Announcements / NEW FEATURE: Interface design refresh I agree with Tempest on this one – I would have to say that the chiclets are the way to go. The user-controlled colours would be nice, but not necessary. |

Topic: System Announcements / NEW FEATURE: Interface design refresh It’s great to see feedback from the devs about this, and I respect their attitudes toward their vocal user base. I’m willing to wait out and see what happens on this issue, instead of immediately coming to the conclusion that it may or may not stay the way it is. Whatever happens, 37signals is doing a great job (though I would love to see the overview page changed as well). |

Topic: System Announcements / Some adjustments to the Overview screen We dislke it very much as well. It feels very disjointed from the rest of basecamp and it feels extremely loud – maybe if the coloured text boxes were matched to what the rest of Basecamp uses, then that would be better. It’s an unfortunate change, in my opinion. |
