That would have been nice to know beforehand. The documentation is non-existent, the app is slow as molasses, and now my contacts are messed up. It’s a beta app; save your money until the kinks are worked out.

On not jailbreaked iPhone 3G it works like a charm. Sync goes well with ~500 contacts, tasks is what i need.
My colleague has jailbreaked iPhone and on his iPhone Mobrise sometimes crash…

You have to disable SSL in your highrise account. Not sure I want to keep it that way but I tried it just to see if it would work.

Yea I really wish Apple or these vendors would publish the short comings of their products, before I buy them. i.e. no SSL support or the fact that the Sync doesn’t work. I guess that’s what we the user get for beating them over the head to get the app out the door.

I never did get a complete sync. It would get part of the way though and then crash. So I would have to resync and that’s when the “Extra” contacts were created.

kennedyma, how did you reinstall it and working without SSL? I deleted the app, reinstalled via iTunes, and used http. That didn’t work for me.

Thanks for the warning about the sync issue.

Makes you wonder about Apples validation process for apps.

Hey all just wanted to post an update.

DO NOT SYNC YOUR CONTACTS.

I’ve been trying to sync my contacts and well it’s just flat out messed them all up. I have 4 of some contacts and 2 of others. This is a very beta version.

This app shows a lot of potential but please backup all your stuff before you start messing around with it. As for the viewing of Highrise it works great very speedy.

Again please don’t sync your contacts if you value them.

taptap, I bought it as well. I can’t login either. Authentication error. Have tried http, https, changed login, etc.

What is wrong? I don’t mean to be rude, but this seems to be a crucial part of the app – to be able to login in to highrise via iphone?

Please fix this asap.

At this time Mobrise don’t support SSL. We have submitted updated version with SSL support. Sorry for inconvenience. We also working hard on new website with documentation and bug/feature requests tracking. All bug reports, feature requests and comments are welcome!

Didn’t work.
It just got much worse though. Now the app loads then hangs then crashes. All I did was reset the iPhone to see if that would help.

I feel like I’ve wasted 10 bucks on a beta app. Dang I hate how you can’t try apps.

Try leaving out the https:// and just do <company_name>.highrisehq.com

What format is the URL supposed to be I have it typed in at https://<company name>.highrisehq.com

Keep working on it. Mobrise has crashed twice on me. The first time when I entered the incorrect URL and the second time after several minutes of attempted synchronization.

Not to derail this thread but Nuevasync is a great product. I’m using it on my iPhone 3g to sync my Calendar and Contacts with my Google apps account.

For anyone interested, Neuvasync looks like a budding framework for syncing various calendar and contacts with iPhone. @Chemnitz, 37Signals likely didn’t build it themselves because their limited resources are better spent elsewhere. The beauty of the API is that a 3rd party can come along and build a small business/revenue stream around two unrelated technologies, iPhone and Highrise.
