Topic: Feature Requests / Indication that ToDo List is Connected to Milestone

This is a small thing and not really even a feature per se. But it would be helpful to me if there were an indication when looking at the ToDo lists in a project as to whether a ToDo list was attached to a Milestone. We often use Milestones to indicate due dates for ToDo lists and when looking at the Milestones page you can see the Todo lists associated with each Milestone. This is great. But it would be excellent if, when looking at the Todo List page, I could see which ToDo lists were attached to a Milestone. It might be even better if the date of the associated Milestone were visible at the top or beside the applicable Todo list but if this isn’t workable, even a color change would be helpful so that I at least know that I have already assigned a Milestone for this Todo list.

I can see how some would have a problem with who should get the notification for modifications for a writeboard. Often multiple people work on a writeboard at the same time so you need some sort of drop down or check boxes for who to notify each time you save. This could get cumbersome and should probably be avoided.

BUT. . . the lack of notification choices for Writeboard comments is a BIG problem b/c clients naturally assume that when they post a comment it is going somewhere and someone will see it. When the comment goes missed it causes trouble. Notification boxes should definitely be added to comments or they should be done away with in favor of a button that when pressed opens a new message within the project with a link to the Writeboard already in place so you can direct the comment to who needs to see it without 5 or 6 clicks.

See above – 37S has no intention of adding this feature. If you need it (and we do) you can either use a Firefox add-on to work a hack that kind of gives you this functionality or you can find another product. We have been doing the former and are now unfortunately looking to do the latter.

I have been waiting for this addition for way too long. I am currently in the process of testing out two other web-based services that have a working calendar and plan to make a shift soon. I’m not at all happy about it b/c I love Basecamp but the absence of a calendar is just a killer problem for us.

While I am not a personal fan of priority ratings, due dates for tasks is simply a must. +10
The only workaround I have found is a plugin for FireFox. But it is a little clunky and I don’t even like Firefox other than that.

Please give it some thought.

You might try using the iCal feed into Apple Calendar or Google Calendar. You can then get them in a calendar format or list format going out however far you want.

Another Time Reporting issue right now is that the “Edit this Report” link on the “Everyone’s hours for the last 7 days” page does not work. Have verified issue on another computer/browser setup. So there is currently no way to change the default report to look at a single persons hours or time period other than last 7 days.

For some reason this is happening to us only with a small minority of users. I cannot yet figure out why. My only guess is that the system has difficulty parsing which part is the new message when users do not leave a return or two in between the old message and the new one.
