Topic: Feature Requests / Writeboards PDFs Hi. ProofHQ is integrated with Basecamp. You can upload PDF’s (PSDs, Word docs, Powerpoint, JPGs, etc) into ProofHQ. ProofHQ converts the file into a web-based proof, which reviewers can mark-up and comment on. The proof is embedded in Basecamp in the messages area. Jason blogged about it here: http://37signals.blogs.com/products/2008/07/proofhq-and-bas.html You can see more details here: http://www.proofhq.com/html/basecamp.html |

Topic: How are you using Basecamp? / Basecamp - plays well with other basecamp users? Hi. We sort of ran into this with the ProofHQ integration with Basecamp. We saw scenarios where people would want to show proofs of design work in more than one Basecamp account. To solve this problem we ended up embedding proofs of artwork in messages and giving people an embed code so that they could place the same proof in other messages in other projects. We also decided to show the comments and mark-ups in the iframe, so that they would appear wherever the proof was displayed. I guess you could do something similar with data? I hope that this helps. |

Topic: How are you using Basecamp? / Successfully Managing Web Design and Development Projects Jon. Hope that this is on-topic. Have you tried using ProofHQ to tie in design approvals with your clients. It lets you provide rich review and approval tools to your clients, and is integrated with your Basecamp projects. http://37signals.blogs.com/products/2008/07/proofhq-and-bas.html |

Topic: Miscellaneous / PDF Shared/managed reviews?? Hi. ProofHQ provides shared review and approval and is now integrated directly with Basecamp. You can upload your PDFs to ProofHQ which creates a web-optimised proof for your reviews. That proof can be added to a Basecamp project as part of the proof set-up. More about the integration here http://www.proofhq.com/html/basecamp.html 37signals blogged about the integration here http://37signals.blogs.com/products/2008/07/proofhq-and-bas.html |

Topic: How are you using Basecamp? / Design and document collaboration in Basecamp I hope that it’s OK to ask this question in this forum. I’m one of the co-founders of ProofHQ and am looking for feedback from Basecamp users on a new collaborative proofing tool that we have just integrated with Basecamp. If you use Basecamp for project management you can now offer your project team richer review and approval tools using ProofHQ. When you create a proof in ProofHQ you can add your proof to a Basecamp project and invite project team members to review and approve your proof. ProofHQ will automatically create a new message in the Basecamp project that you have selected when you create the proof. The message contains details about the proof and an embedded mini-proof. The mini-proof lets your project team view all the pages of the proof, zoom and view existing comments. If your team members want to reply to a comment, add their own mark-ups and new comments or view details of the proof, they simply click on the “Full Screen” or “New Comment” button to open the full proof with all the functions. If you create new versions of a proof, ProofHQ will automatically create a new message in the same Basecamp project and invite the same Basecamp project members to review the new version. You can check out some tutorial movies here http://www.proofhq.com/html/basecamp.html. You can sign up for a free trial of ProofHQ here http://www.proofhq.com/index.html. All feedback would be really appreciated. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Markup and Approval I thought that you might be interested in an integration that we have just completed between Basecamp and ProofHQ. ProofHQ is our own collaborative web app and is designed to help designers and marketers get their designs, artwork and documents reviewed and approved. Files are uploaded to ProofHQ and we convert them into web-optimised proofs where reviewers can collaborate, mark-up, add comments and make decisions.
