Peter Berkenbosch,

Looks like you’re right—I’ll check with Chris Busse and see what happened to it. I’ve contributed to it and would like to keep it live as well…

I did a quick rummage around to find API wrappers for as many different languages as I could. I’ve added them to the Code Examples page, although in due course they could perhaps live on their own page.

If anyone knows of any others that are out there then feel free to add them or post a link here and I’ll add them myself.

I did some editing/revision on the home page and on the Meta Data page. I just want to encourage the other API developers to get involved: http://bcapi.projectdetail.com/bcapi/

We’re actually redoing the API section (condensing all the APIs into a single “site” on 37signals.com) shortly. Stay tuned. Hopefully the Wiki will build up and then we can link it up when we launch the new 37signals developer center.

I don’t see that having a link on the API page necessarily affects its (un)official status. I would hope that 37s would see that having such a resource available can only be a good thing for them.

Should we ask 37s to make it the “official” community-edited API wiki via a link from http://www.basecamphq.com/api? Or is it better to keep it “unofficial”?

That would be cool—might be good for us (those who are geeking out about the API here in the forum) to get it pointed in the direction we’d like to have it organized in, and then go to 37s when it is built up enough to be considered a useful resource of information.

Thanks, Chris. I made a minor typo-change to the Meta Data page. On the conclusion of the DISCUSS: Storing meta-data in Basecamp thread, I can post the results there as well.

Great work, thanks. I’ve made a quick edit to the meta data page to summarise the discussion thread. Gotta do some work now, will be back later to have another look.

(if it doesn’t load, the DNS probably hasn’t propagated out your way)

This is an offshoot from the thread discussing Meta Data:
