I’ve spent the last couple of months trying to get one client in particular to move to basecamp, and away from emails, I sent another request today asking that they use it, and they replied by email saying we would if we could but your software is down…..

By the looks of it they are all fast asleep….

At a guess, I would put this down to another load balancer problem, which probably means they were messing with the system when it went offline, and are hopefully aware of the issue….

Is it just me, or is there a problem with accessing any of the basecamp sites?
I can’t access either of the two accounts I have, both are responding with Proxy Errors

Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /clients.
Reason: Error reading from remote server

I See there was some down time recently, is this related?

All 37signals sites were unreachable for approximately 8 minutes this morning. We were experiencing problems with the redundant firewall configuration that was recently deployed and had to perform an emergency swap of them. At this time all systems should be functioning normally._

I’m sure the passwords are encrypted, but with a reversible encryption, theres plenty of websites that do it this way.
