Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / To Do Lists - Filtered Versions Randomly Reordering. Thank you for your reply Jason. In regards to technical support, at no point did i recieve a “Well look into this for you”, all we received was “give us more info”. I would have been/am extremely happy with your approach here on the forums, just not via your offical support email. Regarding the random list reordering bug, has your team gotten anywhere? do you have log files? if so i can flag the times a list was last observed organsied and the first observed re-ordered. Regarding the list updating by multiple users, shouldn’t the fix be as easy as simplying storing the date-time (serverside) each time the list is reordered, and passing this var back out to a page variable each time it is rendered. When a user tries to submit a change these can be easily compared (server side to page) and if there is a discrepancy, the page is refreshed instead of storing the new order? Thank you for responce. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / To Do Lists - Filtered Versions Randomly Reordering. We are currently having an issue where user filtered to do lists are randomly re-ordering. We spent LOT of time trying to force the issue but we can’t manualy re-create it. (Only bug we’ve found by doing this is if a user1 dosent refresh their browser after user2 reorders the list, if user1 reorders an item in their out of date list, it reorders the entire list to the out of date order) But almost every day the user filtered to-do lists are re-ordered, seemingly randomly and with interactions as little as one or two users ticking off one or two tasks. This is pretty severe for us as we need the tasks to remain in placed order of importance for milestones. Technical support on this from 37 signals has been non existent. They refuse to lift a finger until we’ve practically debugged the entire problem for them (silly responces such as “Reordering lists simultaneously in different browser windows is not supported” for the above issue in barackets) . THERE IS A ISSUE with their code. If anyone has experienced this can you please please post here to give their support department something they cant just ignore. Many Thanks |
