Topic: Feature Requests / Comments on Milestones Sucks

This ‘new feature’ is allowing clients to post communication all over the place – please add another new feature that allows us to disable this new feature – is there anyone else out there seeing the fact that BC is losing its simple elegance with all this new flotsam? Our clients are getting lost and wallowing in a see of possibilities – Our communications are spread over many different areas when it was all very simple and wonderful and fast, before – ahh before – the good old days – I enjoyed the model T that was BC and cannot stand the new BC with its new-fangled electric window heaters – I want a new BC that is stripped of all this embroidered lace and electric can-opener approach to feature sets; something that just plain works and is fast and super-ultra reliable, with a few awesome AJAX goodies and clean design – you know, the way it used to be, a couple of years ago – perhaps you can call it BCB, BaseCampBefore

Thanks for the update, Jeff.

Toss a few more servers on the fire and let’s get this thing back online.

Thanks for your efforts.

Topic: Feature Requests / No More Features - Better Reliability Please

Too much development going on with BC. We are losing dependability. It is down right now. This is becoming a weekly issue. BC was never like this before the 37S crew started adding all these bells and whistles. I cannot help but think that the decreased dependability is due in no small part to over-exercised gadget development and a loss of focus on preserving the dependability of the service.

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Outage?

I appreciate optimistism, but I am watching dollars disappear every minute our access to BC is down.

I am not pleased and hope there will be credit on next month’s payment for all of us.

Geez guys, it’s Monday – this is the worst day to lose BC.

Yep, we are down on two different BC domains too.

This kills us. This happens too much.

Please guys, stop developing new gizmos and focus on reliability.

Seem that new Time posts are not being accepted. Nor added to the total.

Anyone else having this issue too?

We need this fixed right now please.

Topic: Feature Requests / 500 Errors - BC in PHP?

AHA!

The 500 errors are definitely occuring much more in Opera, FireFox is MUCH less – yes, the latest versions.

Topic: Feature Requests / 500 Errors - BC in PHP?

Always happens when posting a new Message. Usually can workaround with a back-click and resubmit, 2 or 3 times. But now that does not even work – just tried it 8 times and all I get is the same old 500 error.

So then, close it out and post a new message, 8 more times and still get the 500 error.

Status: 500 Internal Server Error Content-Type: text/html
500 Internal Server Error

This is not good 37s. Sure you people know this is going on. Sure this is related to your server load. Sure it can be fixed with more horsepower on your servers. Take some of this pile of money you are pulling in every month and invest a million in your server farm – it is needed. Or, perhaps ROR has reached its limits. Perhaps this is the biggest test there is for ROR and it does not scale economically with its hardware requirements. Perhaps you need to recode this in PHP. Wouldn’t that be interesting… it would not be the first time we have seen a hotdog technology booted for good ole PHP. That is what happened over at Elance with their silly MS-based solution.

Topic: Feature Requests / Basic Reporting at DeskAway

What a load of BS – does DeskAway really need to resort to this type of marketing. I do not know your product. And now, with the use of your competitor’s forums to promote your product, and lost any credibility you might have, I will never know your product. I will not support someone who markets like this. This type of behavior lacks integrity. Go do something productive and quit sucking off the hard work of the Good People at BC and get the hell out of their forums.

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / 500 errors all the time now

OK – so now I am posting Messages to clients and vendors as text files and sending them notifications of the file postings – LOL.

Anyone working on this. Is this error unique to us – anyone else having this issue?

Still cannot post Messages. We have projects to Manage. Is anyone looking into this? Friday is a very busy day for us…

Closed and reinitiated the browser session – thought that might help – did not.

Please help.

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / How do we turn off "Automatic Reply Email" functionality?

Agreed – turn the damn thing off. Or at least give us a way to turn it off.

Clients are being lazy and just responding with email and failing to enter the project and see everything else that is going on.

We do not want all this email. We use BC to decrease email. Now it is doing the opposite.

BC is not broken – please stop trying to fix it.
