Topic: Missing Messages in Categories

I would also like to see an ‘older messages’ or ‘view all messages in this category’ link on message category pages.

We use a category called Client Details and put a message about each client in this category so staff can go to one place to look up info on clients. But when they go to messages > client details they only see the latest messages – because there’s no ‘older messages’ or ‘view all messages’ link at the bottom there’s no clue that more messages exist in the category.

I’d like 37Signals to consider just putting the “older messages” link on the category pages. It’s already on the main messages page. I think it’s stupid and confusing to remove existing functionality on sub pages.

You put like that:
...projects/2093489/msg/cat/archive

to view all messages in one category.

Another issue with the Category view is that the list of files shown under “All files in…” does not include files that have been attached to comments in that category.

This would be useful to me also.

Just a short line at the end of those milestones that were pushed forward saying “Target date was originally: .... but was revised because …” with a few words which Basecamp would capture when the date was pushed forward.

I do want to know whether this particular specific milestone was pushed back, or whether an earlier milestone it depended on was pushed back leading this one to get pushed back proportionally.

Also when looking at those milestones that have been completed, would be nice to have a summary line at the top: “12 milestones completed, 9 on their originally commited date, largest slip was 17 days, 4 milestones remain” or something like that.

Definitely for this feature as well. For the same reasons listed above

I am also very much in favor of this feature. The milestone trend information is useful feedback for any team.

However, I would settle for simply being notified by an automatic message when a milestone date is changed. Milestone changes can drive a lot of activity in a group, and I don’t want them to sneak in.

It would be great to be able to view milestone-creep on a project. I have a milestone date that has passed, and although we have pushed the milestone out now, I’d like to keep a record of when it was originally planned so that we have a record of the creep.
