Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Unable to post new message or milestone? I’m also unable to post a new milestone. No form appears when clicking on the “New Milestone” link on the overview page, or the “Add a new milestone” button on the Milestones page… |

Topic: Feature Requests / adding new people to a message thread Administrators can do this by clicking on the “Edit this message” link, selecting more people in the “Subscribe people…” section, and then clicking on the “Save changes” button. But this isn’t very intuitive and I (and many others) have been wishing for a more obvious and prominent method as you’ve suggested that’s available to everyone. It would also be useful if anyone who is subscribed by someone else after the original message is posted receives a notification by E-mail of the entire conversation to date. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / What Clients See This isn’t really a bug, but I was wondering why people from client companies don’t have access to the “Switch to a different project” menu, or the “Dashboard”, and also don’t see projects grouped by primary company. Anyone know? |

Topic: Feature Requests / Posting comments to a message by replying We had an incident this morning where someone sent a reply to a notification, not realising that about 30 people were subscribed to the message… A while back I had suggested modifying the notification messages like this: --- Reply ABOVE THIS LINE to post a comment to the project --- --- (Your reply will also be received by: Jason F., Bob K., Jane R.) --- |

Topic: Feature Requests / Less is more: Nothing but messages Possibly, but first the list view for Messages in Basecamp needs to be sorted by time of last post the way it is in this customer forum. Any chance this could be added? |

Topic: Feature Requests / Posting comments to a message by replying You can’t expect them to make a snap decision based on feedback from a just a handful of Basecamp subscribers after only a day. I’m sure they spent a lot of time thinking about how to make this work and I would hope they’d give the same kind of measured consideration to evaluating feedback for potential revisions. Personally I’m thrilled with the feature – even if there is room for improvement – as I can now go back to all the Blackberry carrying weasels in my organisation who refused to use Basecamp out of pure laziness… |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / New message wording Hi, Jason. While on this subject, would it be possible to make it easier for people who are not administrators to add someone else to the list of subscribers? Often one of my colleagues wants to poke someone not on the list by E-mail, and they usually have to ask me because I’m the only administrator with the ability to edit all messages. |

Topic: Troubleshooting and Bug Reports / Avatar Icons in messages. I think unique avatars makes it easier to follow a conversation in the message view. Think about how a succession of From: and To: headers in Outlook causes the loss of focus. And mitchrc is right – the ability to personalise the avatar somehow draws people in. I posted a message called “Do you look like this?” to a project we use just for announcements. Inside is an image of the generic grey avatar with instructions on how to change the image to something more appropriate (or fun). |

Topic: Feature Requests / Identifying Older Active Threads I’d rather see messages in the list view displayed in order of activity (most recent at top) – in the same way that they’re displayed here in this forum. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Global announcements (again?) I have one project called “Basecamp Help & Announcements” that everyone has access to. I post welcome information for new users there, as well as hints and tips and any service announcements from 37signals. Today I posted a message about how we have more file storage space (thanks to Jason & co. for that). |
