The only thing that prevented us from using BaseCamp was the missing ability to leave comments for TODO items. I have a TODO-item assigned to me, i’d like to question some details about it, but alas i can’t. Of course i can go to Messages and start a discussion there, but that’s not good – i want to have all the comments for a TODO-entry grouped in that TODO-entry.

To make things worse – i can’t event quote the TODO-text to discuss it over icq, since the ajax-sortable-thingie prevents me from selecting the text block :)

Are there any plans to make TODO-entries commentable? We like BC, but are using jira now (which is less suitable for us being a dedicated issue tracker rather than project manager) only because it supports task related comments.

I would agree with this request. I’m not sure what the solution is, but when we have a comment thread going on a todo item it gets confusing to see who is saying what. Right now we enter [myname] in brackets to separate out todo comments, but it would be great to have a history of comments as todos get assigned to various people.
