Often when dragging and dropping tasks to rearrange them, it takes several tries to get it where I want. It can be very frustrating, particularly if I’m dragging across a considerable distance and the item just snaps back to where it was, or halfway there, or something.

This isn’t rocket science, guys, and it’s worked poorly for a very long time. It works identically (badly) in all browsers I’ve tried (FF, IE6, IE7, FF/Mac) so it’s not a browser-specific thing. There are plenty of examples of javascript drag and drop our there that work perfectly (Netflix does a nice job for reordering your queue; Checkser.com also has a good implementation).

This is just one example of the kind of complacency that could very well be your undoing. Come on, people; the little things matter, and you seem to have decided that having a product that’s 90% there is good enough.

Sorry you’re experiencing an issue, but we’ll need some details in order to troubleshoot this.

We’re using the same browsers you are using and we’re unable to replicate this. Thousands of people are reordering thousand of lists all the time without issue, so perhaps there’s something unique about your setup that may be causing this.
