The printer stylesheet is stealing my content! Can you tell it to stop?

Bug: Sequences of bold capitals three or more letters long work properly in the message view. However, when attempting to print out the message, they disappear.

• ABCD – a
• ABC – b
• AB – c
• abcd – d
• abc – e
  3.) Click the little printer icon in the upper right hand corner.
  4.) Observe that what you get looks like this: – a – b
  AB – c
  abcd – d
  abc – e

Time of bug:
I only noticed this happening with last week’s update. It looks like there is now tries to apply the “print mode” stylesheet anytime you try to print?

Workaround: If I go to View > Page Style > No Style in Firefox, I get a page that looks like garbage, but at least doesn’t lose any of my content.

Possible fix:
I looked at the page source generated by the print stylesheet, and suspect that if you take out “span class=”caps”” it will work properly.

Update: This has been fixed. We’ve also polished a few other rough edges on the print styles for messages. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Ryan – bullet points still not printing in FF 2.0

Same issue – All formatting is lost when I print ANY page

Whoops looks like the fix for bullet points wasn’t deployed as I expected. I’ll post here again when the fix has been released. Thanks for your patience.

Ok we’ve deployed the fix for printing bullet points. They should print properly now.

Hi Ryan – thanks for that but we are getting a couple of weird errors specifically extra blank bullets being added and text immediately after a bullet being removed altogether. I can send you some examples if you let me know where.

We’re aware of some additional issues with printing formatted messages and lists. We hope to have this resolved soon.

Sarah, as noted in several threads the printing issue with bullets and caps has not been fixed. Please could you let us know if there is a plan to address this.
