Basecamp is very slow with multiple projects
|
|
I just downgraded to the Free plan after being on the $49/month plan with 15 or so projects. I downgraded because basecamp was soooo slooooow (on every page, not just the dashboard). Now I have only 1 project, and basecamp is fast. Something very inefficient is happening with multiple projects. |

Sounds like there was something wrong with your account. Basecamp shouldn’t be materially slower simply by having more projects. We currently have far more than 15 projects on our own account and a dashboard loading in sub-second time. If you should decide to give it another try and run into speed problems, please write support with specifics and we’ll investigate what’s wrong. Thanks! |

robster, we have 250+ projects in our account and speed is not an issue. |

Echo that experience. |

robster, when you downgraded to Free account, what happened to all your other projects? I downgraded to free too because most projects are in-active and I’m dead worried that all my project data was lost. I never go a warning telling it would lost if I downgraded. Will it come back once I upgrade to a payed plan again? I’ve submitted a support request that has received no answer yet. Thanks for any knowledge that may ease my worries on this. |

Once you upgrade you’ll be able to access your projects again. The free account is one project only, you can’t archive it or access your archived projects. |
