To-do items with Due dates and multiple assignments

I have a Designer/Account Coordinator team that receives assignments. The Account Coordinator manages the revisions, the Designer executes them. I would like to assign a To-Do to both of them.

How about a due date. That would be awesome. We don’t really use milestones, they don’t apply that much for what we do.

User: Jim Adams – jim@domain.com, Also member of revteam@domain.com
User: Bill Baker – bill@domain.com; Also member of revteam@domain.com
User: Revision (First) Team (Last) – email – revteam@domain.com

Works for me everyday. In fact we pretty much stopped using individual names as we do team engineering by specialty and the team needs to see everything to make sure they are in the loop. When assigned individually they alone got the emails and if out for vac or illness it didn’t get done. This fixed that problem.

We coordinate a project involving people at different agencies. They are under one Basecamp Company. I don’t believe that assigning the company a To-Do will generate an email notifier to each individual email address. It would be nice to type in one To-Do and assign multiple people to that To-Do item.

I like Earle’s solution – if I’m reading it correctly – but don’t have the ability to create a “company” email address for them.
