Categories for Reporting

I was demonstrating my Basecamp to a business associate and they thoughi it was a good application. From what I understand Reporting works as the following in Basecamp: All Projects Reporting:
Single Project Reporting:
Why wasn’t it suitable for them? Scenario: I need to able to see how much time someone has spent on graphics. My first thought was to just enforce a procedure on the employees to name their logs with what the job with a label [category] eg: Oct 20 Joe Smith 2.50 [Management] client sign off on contract I think this would be the practical solution to the problem. The bummer is you can’t generate a report just for that category, you’d get everything. My feature request would be to add categories to reporting. |

Time categories would be an ideal enhancement to the time recording feature of BC, however, there is a workaround.
Unfortunately you can’t generate a report for the whole To-do list, just each To-do item. |
