Am I just missing the ability to assign mulitple users to a task? If not, that sure would be cool :)

We don’t support assigning multiple users to a single task and it’s unlikely that we will in the future. Sorry.

I got around this by creating a multiple recipient email address for people in my project team (team@), then creating an account on Basecamp for that email account and then assigning tasks to that account.

Hi, I’m a new Basecamp user, and I also considered UnderDesign’s option of creating one email address for several people from the same group in my organization. It would be nice if companies could be broken down into groups to simplify assigning tasks to multiple people in the same company. I think this would be a very useful feature.

Hi. We would love to be able to assign a User into a Department within OUR company. We played around with creating departments as external companies but then that doesn’t seem to work. Many of our Project Managers will be using BC and it would nice if they could an overview of the timelines per department.

Any ideas?

I recently ran into assigning more than one person to a task and in the end, I decided to assign it to the person who will be doing most of the work with the initials following the task for those that are also assigned – their roles are more to assist than actually complete the task.
