Time tracking report > more flexible views
|

As a one-person contractor, I always juggle between many projects. I’m sure it’s been suggested before, but having the ability to view my time per day across all projects would be the main way I’d use time tracking. The reason for that is that I use time tracking to validate the number of hours I work each day and I currently do not have this ability, short of doing a CSV export every time I need to check whether or not I logged all my hours in a given day. |

ok, so I guess I’m really dumb as you can click on the date itself…Any chance to see that extended to several days? |

Actually, this report does not quite give me the info I need. I need an aggregated view of hours per day, not per project along with a subtotal per day. If I could just click on the Day view, and the table would be sorted and categorized per day, this probably would answer my need. I do realize the report gives me the ability to access a specific date with a subtotal (just a click away), but it requires to track down specific dates on the per-project view then click on the date – if it exists – and finally edit. This seems more convoluted than it needs to be. The workflow I promote appears to be an intuitive move to improve the usability in this specific situation, although I’m not sure what percentage of other users share this need… |
