HTML Editor

I know this has been talked about lots on the forum, but I wondered what the latest was. Is there a timescale for introducing a html WYSIWYG editor to basecamp? I understand there are issues with Safari and Mac users, but they can use Firefox. Is there a plan?

This issue is a pain for people used to using ‘Word’ style editors and IMHO would make the Writeboards more usable and in line with other web technologies (Google Docs etc.)

Thanks.

Matt

Firefox has a add-on that once loaded, you can right click in ANY text box (messages, comments, Writeboards, to-do’s) and up pops a easy to use HTML editor.

If you are looking for a way to enhance Basecamp with a variety of text colors, tables, fonts, I recommend you check it out if you are a Firefox user.

Firefox Add-on

Basecamp always allows you to format fields.

Another Firefox add-on that will allow you to format text in any Basecamp text field is Basecode. Install Basecode here.

Thanks for that. I have Basecode but it’s a bit clunky for non-techy people using Basecamp. Xinha looks good but I’d still like to know from the powers that be when the WYSIWYG version is going to be available. Sorry for making you repeat yourselves, but I’d love an update.
