Breaking Up Projects By Company

When I am a member of the ‘main’ company, the project list in my right nav, under ‘overview’, is broken up by company.

When I am not a member of the ‘main’ company, yet still have projects across multiple companies on the dashboard, all I see is a list of projects, with no delineation for which company the project is under.

Is there any reason that we cannot have that list broken up by company in both instances?

One place this really causes a problem is when we have projects named the same thing under different companies. For instance, two companies are making documentaries, and each has a project named “Filming and Editing”. Since I am on both of these projects, all that I see in my right nav is two hyperlinks for projects named the exact same thing.

Like this:

Filming and Editing
Filming and Editing

Instead can we list them like:

Iraq Documentary Group
-Filming and Editing

State of the Media Documentary Group
-Filming and Editing

Here is a screenshot showing the two views that I am referring to. Any feedback as to why a user cannot see the delineated view even if they are not a member of the ‘dashboard owner’ company would be great. Note that what we have done in this example dashboard is to add an indicator like (Iraq Doc) in the project name in place of the functionality we are requesting.

We have a similar situation with “external” people in several projects. We set the associated company to be the main client; would be helpful for the external providers to which projects are for which clients on the dashboard as sggested above.

Is there a functionality issue here such that this feature request cant work? Now that I have identified this issue, internally we are seeing and more where this function would be immensely helpful and seems to just make sense.

Thanks for any info on the topic.
