to do TODAY

When I start work in the morning, I like to scan the tasks in my TO DO lists and pick out the things I want to undertake that day. Most often, I have a bunch of tasks from various projects that I want to identify for action today, but since they span different projects, I end up jotting them on a post-it note, or else copying them to a temporary “TODAY” TO DO list. Either method is awkward, so I wonder if there could be way to tag specific TO DO items for immediate action (with a check-box?), and then be able to view a list (in the Dashboard section) that would show all those tagged TO DO items in one place. I see functionality like this in Highrise and Backpack, but Basecamp is by far the best overall tool set for me and my group. Others have suggested jumping to one of these other programs just for this functionality (keeping a duplicate set of “to do” items in Backpack, for example), but this seems even more awkward as the post-it note approach. This particular capacity would add immensely to Basecamp’s value for me. |

all_ears, A similar discussion to this has already been started here, and you might find some of those suggestions helpful. I’m betting that at this time, this would be a lower priority feature for Basecamp. In the meantime, you’ll probably have more luck finding a solution on your own, but please let us know! |

Yeah right. Of course you’re not affiliated in any way shape or form with gonemental.com. Cough. |

Strange that it doesn’t work for Safari 2, and only works for a browser that is still in Beta and obviously Firefox. Also how does an application expect to succeed when it instantly alienates unfortunately a massive IE audience. This reminds me of the “Best Viewed In Netscape” crap we used to be subjected to. |
