I just started using Basecamp, and it is very well done.

My request is that Basecamp should allow users to comment on Messages by replying to the Notification emails. The text of the reply is obviously what would get posted as the comment to the original Message.

I searched for “reply email” and only 3 results were returned, none of which were related to this suggestion. Is search broken, or am I?

Search. I participated in a number of those threads, and I can’t find them either.

I reported a problem with search several days ago and it seemed to be fine after they fixed it. Now I’m not sure. In the meantime, you can use a regular Google search from the toolbar by specifying Basecamp as the site you want to search. You can also use a custom search engine I threw together that searches the current forums, archive forums and help here: http://tinyurl.com/24v6rk

But you don’t have to go to that page if you want to use it, you can make a Google module out of it and put it on iGoogle if you use that.
