One of the things that is always necessary is client signoff on reviewed projects. An easy way to do that would be to be able to assign a to-do or milestone to that project and associate a file with it for the client’s review.

Does that make sense?

For To-Dos, you could always just place a file link in the body of the To-Do. Not graceful, but a nice work-around for now. I discussed how to fully do it here. Good luck!

I think I realized I could do that, but didn’t think about it. It would be nice to have a tool though. It’d be nice to use Basecamp for sign-off on proofs because there would be a better, traceable record of who “signed-off” on it and when.

Yep, we want Create Todo from File and a File from a ToDo. We also want create message from File – we can already do a file from a message (though the behaviour is a bit odd), and create message From Todo and a todo from a message.

YES – add my vote – I should be able to attach files to specific items in a To-Do list – this is most important for bug-tracking as well!
