Is there any plans to extend the e-mail notification periods for milestones.
I would like basecamp to e-mail my sub contractors 48hrs, 24hrs and on the day a milestones is due.
I am on the basic package is this option available on the other packages?

No, it’s the same functionality on all packages with that.

I did a search on this but wasn’t able to find anything, so I thought I’d tack it on here.

After initiating a couple hundred people to Basecamp over 4 different accounts the past 2 years or so (hey, I’m a big fan!), I’ve noticed that many non-technical users (who aren’t likely to use RSS nor even create email rules/filters) are bothered by the number of email notifications they receive once a project gets busy. So it seems like it would be helpful to have:

• a digest option that would allow a user to only get one email notification per day
• an option for individual users to turn off email notification altogether
• the option for an admin to remove a specific user from a specific message thread

They could always change their email address to a fake one. Make sure it’ll bounce though, you don’t want random company emails going to some guy.

Like griffinjay, I would like to have an option for individual users to turn off email notification altogether. Some of us are using RSS feed to monitor Basecamp projects or login the site often enough that we do not need to receive emails.

Using a fake email isn’t a good workaround for us, as we still want people to be able to have access to the real email address if needed.

I use a mail rule to siphon Basecamp emails into a folder, mark them as read, and leave them there for reference. For notifications, though, I’m using RSS exclusively.

I go back to the original thread in wanting the milestones to have several options for the notifications. I would like to be able to specify the first date of notification, then how frequently they receive notification after the first.
