Please!

This would save us hours and hours of project setup time. We make wonderful use of the to-do templates, but copying an entire template project would still save us an amazing amount of time. Thank you for Basecamp!

First time poster, read the hell out of this thing though.
Just wanted to put my 2 cents in that some sort of a project template would an incredible time saver.

It’s been said many times before, and for good reason.

But alas, it doesn’t appear that it’s considered that important.

One very simple implementation would be to simply allow one to copy an existing project to a new one. Yeah, yeah, I understand all the deep clone / copy ramifications, but c’mon, it’s a very tame object model.

Along with everyone else, this is vital for time saving to our company.

This is an essential feature to our company as well. So much so, that it is a potential deal breaker.

None of the work-arounds I’ve seen discussed are satisfactory as they all result in an unacceptable waste of our time. Our time is just too valuable to spend cutting and pasting.

Having this feature is so important that I’ve already begun looking for another project management platform. I kinda like you guys at 37 signals, so please don’t make me do this.

Does anyone see the need for message templates as well? I have many project managers and its difficult to maintain standards on some of the messaging. Message template, if at all possible, would be nice.
