Project Name in Milestone - Calendar
|
|
When I post a milestone such as “Draft Deadline” I need to be able to see what project that correlates with. Is there a way that you can add the project name in parenthesis automatically when I post a milestone? I don’t want to have to manually do that every time. Managing multiple designers with multiple projects each, it would be easier to manage them if, when a milestone is posted (Draft Deadline, To Print, etc), the project name would be automatically showing in the Calendar alongside the individual milestones. |

an ENOURMOUS PLUS ONE to this… I’m having to manually prefix milestone names with project names. |

We do the same but some of our project names are long and I can imagine the issues that would create = one messed up calender! |

What we do is we use abbreviations for all clients then projects by number, i.e., BS-101: Adding Milestones. Then you can tell them apart. The other thing I find valuable is adding a little hack <font color="red"> in the form field and then they are set off from one another. I use red only for the final deadline, not all milestones. It’s kind of ugly, but it works for now. |

I’d also like to add my support for this suggestion… And also add in that perhaps it would only be needed on the Dashboard, as when you are looking at a specific project you will obviously know which project the milestones are for ;-) But when you are dealing with many different design projects, for example, seeing four different Design Comps Round One milestones on the dashboard isn’t very helpful… Thanks! |

I’d prefer leaving it as it is. The manual prefixing of the milestone description works fine. If it automatically adds a project name to the title of the milestone, you then have a restriction on the length of the name of the project. Your calendar would be a list of project names and not milestones. [signal vs noise] |
