Removing people from message thread e-mail notifications
|

Hello, Love Basecamp! We would love for the administrator to be able to unsubscribe people from receiving e-mail notifications on any given message thread. Sometimes someone who was originally added doesn’t (or shouldn’t) be receiving e-mail notifications from that thread any more. Currently, the only person the admin can remove is his or herself and we wish those powers were extended to add AND remove whoever at any time. :-\ Thank you for your consideration. |

Yes – I second this request. Although I’d also like to see the unsubcribe option available project-wide so the administrator can ‘turn off’ email notifications for a particular project if he/she wishes. |

Yes, there are times when only one person should be notified, and the very next message needs to include everyone in the company. We need the ability for the person composing the message (admin or otherwise) to decide who receives email notification, and this needs to be the case for every message sent. Thank you |

Same here – being able to add or take people off email notifications for comments is important for us. It can be done by editing the original message and changing the list of those being notified but this is a bit messy. |

Definately would like this feature. I regularly would like to add people to a thread or remove them. The only to add someone to an existing thread is (as an amdin) to edit the first post, add them to the thread (which means they get the first post in the thread and then subsquent posts) A tad convoluted. |

I’d like to see this feature too. |

I found a work-around for this…! (after two years of apologizing for the inundation of emails to my campers) Take the person off the project, then put them back on. They will be ‘unsubbed’ from ALL messages in the project. You must subscribe them to any threads he/she should be on. |

Thank you, dave8057, for this tip. I have found many messages to require a response being necessary for only my benefit and not for the interest of the group. I will utilize this tip until there is a quicker, more straight-forward function. |
