Time Tracking is misleading

I recently upgraded my account for the time tracking feature. I wanted time tracking because:
What I didn’t know until after I upgraded was only users under my company could track or see time. Whats everyone’s opinion on the Time Tracking for Basecamp? |

To call it anemic is to be generous. |

I agree, Andrew: time tracking should certainly be available to clients, perhaps off by default, but certainly with the ability to switch it on for them. New feature maybe? |
|
|
I agree 100%. Sharing time info with clients was my intention and main goal. Hopefully this will be available soon. |

Clients doing more in the project? DREAM LAND… ...MY REALITY Why is this? Time tracking is good for us, but a chore for the clients… YUP, THIS WOULD BE A NICE-TO-HAVE FEATURE Time tracking report Have an oBAMa evening, y’all. |

The only billable time we have is for extras and generally it would fall to me, the project manager, not the design team to work out what is billable or not. So the current process works well for us. |

I’m a big fan of the time tracking feature as it is implemented – especially the ability to track it within a to-do list. I do wish I could track consultants time (rather let them track their own time). I am glad that it’s not available to clients. I bill by the project, so the hours are just numbers for my analysis later. |

Time tracking it’s great but and for people that only track project progression with tasks? http://www.activecollab.com/cms/public/images/acscreenshots/screen_1.jpg Is there anyway of doing this in basecamp? |
