Basecamp for assigning help tickets

At our office we are using base camp for most of our project management and we really like it. We also have a help desk system that we are using in Outlook. Basically it is a set of custom forms that allows us to create a ticket which can be assigned to anyone of the employees in the office. It has an end user (usually the person who creates the ticket), a technician, description of the task, a log to add events as the task is worked on, and the ability to mark the task at varying levels of completion. You can also send reminder emails and an email when the task is complete. Each employee can go in and view the tickets assigned to them and sort them by which ones are complete and incomplete.

I’m wondering if there is a way to accomplish this in Basecamp. If there was an add we could purchase for this that would be fine as well. I’m just wondering if anyone else has a need for something like this and if there has been a solution created.

Thanks.

I am currently working on a Basecamp helpdesk integration. I’ll keep you posted.

This sounds like a tool that would be helpful in our case. We are an in-house creative team and currently use an html submission form that send an email to the appropriate manager. We want to integrate something like this into Basecamp if possible. Would the “helpdesk integration” you speak of be a generic ticket creation tool or more specific to IT soultions?

Thanks in advance.
