Posting web page, logo, and ad mockups for reviews and approvals

Is there a standard way to post 4 or 6 versions of a logo or a web page so a client can easily review them, make comments, and indicate preferences?

In the past, I might create a large jpeg that has logo variations 4-up or 6-up which are each numbered with little gray numbers for reference and that can be easily viewed in a browser or printed for presentation.

When presenting web page prototypes, or full size jpeg mockups, or rich media ads I imagine they have to be hosted outside of Basecamp on my company site. Then within Basecamp I would distribute Messages with links to the staged examples to gather comments and approvals.

Perhaps this is obvious but I’m curious how others are using Basecamp for such tasks.

Basecamp is not great at this which is why we are building this as either a standalone tool or a Basecamp add on.

Try ProofHQ

Jason blogged about the integration here. http://37signals.blogs.com/products/2008/07/proofhq-and-bas.html

You can see more about the ProofHQ Basecamp integration here. http://www.proofhq.com/html/basecamp.html

Just as a note: if you create a message and attach an image file it will show up in the message as a thumbnail which you can then click on to to expand. It’s probably not as sophisticated as what you want but sometimes simple is good.
