"Sticky" notes at top of page (to replace page description)
|
|
Generally I am very happy with the update. However, I am sorry to see the “page description” gone. I was sharing pages with a group of colleagues who were not very web-savvy (I am a professor in the humanities) and it was very useful to have a paragraph of text at the top of the page that gave a little bit of explanation about what the page contained and how to use it. Now it appears that each new item is automatically placed at the top of the page, so there is no way to keep a note permanently visible without dragging it back to the top every time you add new content. Is there any way around this? Thanks PS Adding menus to the dividers would fix this, I guess, though it would mean I’d have to add a divider right after the first note on every page. |

Maybe this could be solved by having a way to turn the welcome page back on? |

To be honest, I’m not sure what the welcome page is … I don’t think it’d help me, though. I have multiple pages for different projects, and I only share a few of them. Each shared page needs some different introductory information. What I’m envisioning would be more like this: whatever item happens to be on the top of the page ought to have a checkbox for “pin to top of page” or something like that. |

Having a lot of pages, I used descriptions for most of them to remind me what was my intention for them when I created them. |

I also find it useful to have a sticky note at the top. On the same note: on longer pages it can be a hassle to drag a note all the way to its intended place. The option to only show note headings was good in that respect: it shortened the distance you had to drag something. However, in general I like the instant dragging feature. |

Yes, please bring back the description field. It would also provide a way for people to include some CSS, which is no longer possible with the new update. |

Agreed. Among many other things, I use my backpack as a food journal & exercise log and it’d be helpful to have this either restored or a “sticky” concept implemented so I can put quotes at the top of this page to kind of help me along. Thanks! Keep up the good work! |

+1 for this! Moving notes to different pages is nice but of course they go right at the top which isn’t always desirable. |
