Input Reminders & Notes via SMS

I’m sure this has been discussed and requested ad infinitum, but I thought I’d throw it out there: I would really like to see the ability to add new reminders and notes via SMS. I use Backpack reminders often and LOVE that they can send me an SMS at whatever time I specify. I would just like the process of inputting them to be quicker and easier. Twitter is a perfect example of painless SMS-based entry. I’d love to see a simple 37signals way of getting my crap into Backpack without having to load the web interface every time. (and yes, I’ve seen the recent blog post re: the guy that did the python script, etc. etc. —not really interested in a hack-around. Seems like something that should be built-in to Backpack.) |

Correct me if I’m wrong, but most cell phones can send an SMS to an email address – just enter the address rather than a number. If this scenario works on your carrier then you can just email your pages. |

Unfortunately, at least for me (AT&T + iPhone) this doesn’t work. I can only send to actual numerical numbers via SMS. |
