The new help section
|
|
We’ve just launched a new help section. We’ll be continually updating this with more screenshots and videos when we have more material to contribute based on people’s questions. We hope you like it: http://www.basecamphq.com/help/ |

Thanks… simple question on Writeboards,, how do you prevent contributors on a writeboard to trash or delete the information??? |

I think there should be two levels of HELP. One for non-administrators that does not include features restricted to administrators; and a different file for administrator only features. Also, access to the new HELP site should be on a BUTTON on all user screens in BaseCamp like it is for Administrators. |

It doesn’t say anything about the new email feature. In fact, it still denies email works. |

I was pleasantly surprised this weekend when the email feature started working. I also notice a slightly refurbished look and feel including the possibility of having photographs appear with posts (we won’t use that feature but it’s nice to see anyway). But where was the announcement of these new features and what else did we miss? For example, I noted that a message can now be related to a milestone, which is very cool. But are there other cool things lying beneath the surface? |

Dan, announcement are always posted on the Product Blog. There’s also a link to this announcement at the top of the Dashboard. |

Hi Jason, Thank you for the great added feature. Please make the emaill warning or explanation a bit clearer without asking people to read your help section. Thank you , great job |

Love the new design tweaks. Especially the single click to add an attachment. That old two-step process used to be SO annoying. The paper clip icon is great, too. Really calls your attention to the ability to add files. The email response is a little problematic in its implementation. I like it, personally. But, as JPB says, people just don’t read instructions. They hit Reply and post private comments to public threads, for example, and may not get that that can’t attach files. Great for us geeks, but non-techies don’t seem to notice or care. Hopefully, there’s a better way to explain what’s going on here. |
