Topic: create a netvibes widget or universe You should check out Periscope Gadget, which is exactly what you just mentioned: a Google Gadget for your iGoogle page or Windows Desktop. Check it out here: http://periscopegadget.com/ |

Topic: Why can't I use strikethrough in textile? I have also had problems with certain Textile codes. Can someone from Backpack please post all of the Textile codes that are intentionally disabled in Backpack? It doesn’t make sense to direct users there from the Backpack Help pages when you have disabled parts of it. Perhaps there needs to be a page created/hosted by 37 Signals showing what codes to use for formatting in Backpack. Thank you. Jim |

Topic: Why can't I use strikethrough in textile? Thanks for the clarification Jeff – at least now I know I’ve not been doing something stupid. It might be a good idea to change the textile help link at the bottom of http://www.backpackit.com/help/pages/ because it provides incorrect information and wastes your user’s time. So textile strikethrough and underline don’t work – anything else? |

Topic: Why can't I use strikethrough in textile? Hi everyone. We’re no longer using the “stock” textile implementation. We’ve disabled very few features, but one of them is strikethrough text. Strikethrough can wreak havoc when you’re not expecting it, and it’s a rarely used formatting aide. I understand that sometimes strikethrough text can be a useful signifier, but at the cost of making other hyphenation unpredictable, it doesn’t seem worth it. |

Topic: create a netvibes widget or universe Someone needs to jump in and write the widget. For that matter, someone needs to update the Mac Dashboard widget. And write a Google Gadget. :) |

Topic: create a netvibes widget or universe I was just “googling” for a way to add Backpack to my Netvibes page and found this post. Has anyone found a way to do this yet? Thanks! Jim |

Topic: Why can't I use strikethrough in textile? I was wondering this, too…count me in on the curious to know the difference between Backpack Textile and the usual version. |

Topic: create a netvibes widget or universe I’m an avid netvibeser and a universe would be perfect! (I think a widget might be a little too small to properly encompass Backpack) |

Topic: create a netvibes widget or universe I’m using netvibes, but I wish I could get a tab for my backpack account! No way I could program one, but just think of all the customers you might gain if you created a netvibes widget for backpack! |

Topic: Archive Pages I’ve mentioned this before, but I think the best way to do this is to email the page to a Gmail account, have a filter tag it “backpack,” and delete it. Now the page is easily searchable but out of your way in Backpack. |

Topic: Archive Pages I’m keeping class notes in Backpack and now that the semester has ended I’d like to archive them. I’m sure I’ll delete them someday, but for the next year or few I’d like to know they’re available. |

Topic: Why can't I use strikethrough in textile? Any luck on this, Sarah? It would be SO helpful if the strikethrough feature worked! Thanks in advance. |

Topic: Why can't I use strikethrough in textile? Yeah, I know. It does work here ( BTW, that is a great picture in your Gravatar. I’ve got to figure out how to get a decent picture. How did you manage it? |

Topic: Why can't I use strikethrough in textile? Here’s a link to a Textile reference, what you’re looking for is about a quarter of the way down the page: http://hobix.com/textile/quick.html The correct way to format a strikethrough is to use hyphens before and after, |

Topic: Why can't I use strikethrough in textile? I’ve been having the same problem. When I e-mailed customer service, Sarah said I wasn’t using Textile correctly, but I don’t think that’s it. |

Topic: Archive Pages I think this is a good idea, and as erikmallinson indicates, would compliment the archival of projects in Basecamp and cases in Highrise (which once done, do not count towards the project/case limit). Once done, it shouldn’t count towards the page limit IMHO. |

Topic: Archive Pages It would be very nice to archive pages. Even if they counted towards my page limit. |

Topic: Archive Pages Although I don’t have a problem with my page limit ATM, I think this is a good idea. As a workaround, you can remove pages from the sidebar (won’t help with the page limit, though). |

Topic: Archive Pages I really want to be able to archive pages just like I can archive projects in Basecamp and Cases in Highrise. I’d like them to be kept intact as they are – with mail features and adding items disabled, but not count toward my page limit. |
