Topic: Feature Requests / Tasks in Backpack - critical!!!

I would like so sort of task functionality. Yes, tasks are effectively lists, but married to deadlines and thus need a time-based facility to sort them into priority order. Currently a BP reminder is the closest thing to a task, but they cannot be linked to BP pages (which is how most of us organise projects and pieces of work). Unless someone knows different.

Topic: Feature Requests / Calendar synch with Outlook

Guys – I have a similar need. When I looked into it, a one-way sync of Outlook into Backpack is possible if Outlook supports the ical protocol. After some research, I concluded that Outlook 2003 won’t do this but that Outlook 2007 can. I’ve not been able to take it any further as we’re marooned on Outlook 2003 at work. Someone more techie might be able to explain further.

Topic: Feature Requests / Is it possible to create a Reminder by sending an email?

If I understand GTD correctly, the idea is to have as much ‘stuff’ as possible in the one place. So, if I want that to be Backpack (and i do), and I’m an Outlook user for my work, I need to be able to forward stuff to Backpack. Notes and to-do’s are OK, but Reminders would be cool. This way, I could kill off the way I use Outlook tasks. Can this be done, or is this new feature?

Thanks

Topic: Backpack Calendar / Reminders in Calendar

The answer is that, Yes I am being very stupid. My reminders are now appearing in my backpack Calendar. I guess i was expecting to see them instantaneously. Even up to 90 minutes after the Reminders were created they hadn’t appeared in the Calendar and I supposed that I’d messed up. All working now.

Topic: Backpack Calendar / Reminders in Calendar

I expect I’m being very stupid, but Backpack appears to allow Reminders to be sent to an iCal Calendar. And Backpack also allows an iCal to be loaded to the Backpack Calendar. So, if I’m a poor PC user with no other iCal and I add the iCal link from the Reminders page into my Backpack Calendar, is this how I can send my Reminders to my Calendar? Thus far it’s not working.

Backpack mentions ‘subscribing’ to the Reminders. Is this the bit that’s missing? How would I do this? Or is what I’m doing not possible in the first place?

Thanks for any help

Topic: How are you using Backpack? / 100 pages!?!

kayels

I’m pretty new to Backpack but very pleased so far – and I’m racking up pages. Is there any way of organizing the pages? If you have 100 pages, do they all appear alphabetically down the right hand side of your screen? I was wondering how other folks organize their pages and if there is any way of doing it?
